Oro Momentum AI Program
Build faster. Upgrade smarter. Deliver more.
one to build & customize, one to upgrade
all included in your partnership
efficiency gains in internal tests
Two AI tools covering the full cycle: build, customize, upgrade.
Momentum is a program, and we’ll keep building into it. These are its first two tools, built on Claude Code and running in Docker so every engineer works against the same toolchain.
Ticket to committed code
Takes a ticket for new functionality or a new theme through to working, reviewed code.
- Requirements, development plan, implementation and review
- Structured stages you can stop at, inspect and re-run
- Run one stage at a time, or as a single sequence
Extensions that last
Extend and modernize custom and third-party extensions.
- Work comes back with test coverage in place
- Oro conventions written into your repository as version-controlled markdown
- Every agent reads the same conventions, on every run
Secure environment. The agent runs in a container that sees only your project directory. It cannot reach SSH keys, credentials, or any other repository.
A senior engineer still reviews and signs off. Nothing in the toolkit is designed to route around that.
Any version, verified
Carries a heavily customized application to a new version.
- Each change checked against the OroCommerce source and your own tests
- New tests added automatically, and the result verified
- Isolated from feature work, so the upgrade stays reviewable
- Runs in a secure container that sees only your project directory
You get reviewable pull requests, not a black box. Your team does the final testing and sign-off, the same as on any upgrade.
More delivered. Less hand-coding.
We called the program Momentum because projects rarely fail in one dramatic moment; they lose speed a day at a time. Momentum is our continuing investment in the tooling that keeps your team moving, and these first two tools are where it starts.
More work delivered
Routine implementation moves to the agent. The same team covers more projects without hiring ahead of the pipeline.
Automation where sensible
Convention checks, test generation and review passes run without anyone driving them. Manual steps stay where judgment is required.
Outcome over coding
Senior engineers spend time on solution design and review instead of boilerplate and re-deriving conventions already settled elsewhere.
Built on everything we know about OroCommerce.
You could assemble something similar yourself. Starting with Momentum means starting with years of OroCommerce product knowledge already written into the conventions, and a toolkit our own engineers use every day.
Security built in
Claude Code runs in a container that can only see the project directory. It can't reach SSH keys, credentials, or any other repository, so the agent can work with real autonomy.
The full development cycle
Requirements, planning, implementation, review and testing in one toolkit, with human checks at the points where they matter. A senior engineer signs off before anything merges.
Oro standards, enforced
Convention files are written into your repository as version-controlled markdown that every agent reads. This is what turns AI-generated code into Oro-standard code.
Constant improvement
Our own engineers use this toolkit to build and extend OroCommerce, and our senior team keeps improving it. Your feedback goes straight into Momentum’s next iteration.
